The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released their final injury report for the week for the upcoming Sunday road game against the Kansas City Chiefs and it shows that three players have been ruled out for that contest.
Safety Will Allen (ankle), defensive end Stephon Tuitt (knee) and quarterback Mike Vick (hamstring) all failed to practice again on Friday and all three will sit out the Sunday game against the Chiefs as a result.
With Allen out again this week, safety Robert Golden will now make his second career start on Sunday. With Tuitt out, veteran Cam Thomas will more than likely start in his place. Thomas, however, will more than likely split playing time with young defensive linemen Daniel McCullers and L.T.Walton.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (knee) ends the week listed as questionable. He was, however, able to practice again on Friday. Landry Jones, however, is still expected to make his first career start Sunday against the Chiefs.
Cornerback Cortez Allen (knee) also ends the week listed as questionable. Allen hasn’t dressed since Week 1, however, so odds are good that he’ll be inactive again on Sunday.
Cornerback Antwon Blake (thumb), linebacker Ryan Shazier (knee), linebacker Jarvis Jones (hip), tight end Matt Spaeth (not injury related), linebacker James Harrison (not injury related) and cornerback William Gay (not injury related) all end the week listed as probable.
