The Ryan Shazier shoulder saga continues.
Despite weekly optimism and being a limited participant yesterday, early media reports indicate Shazier is unlikely to play Sunday afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals. Per Jeremy Fowler:
If that report is accurate, it would imply Shazier is going to have to be a full participant today and tomorrow. Mike Tomlin has almost always required young players to get in a good week of practice before being able to play, something Shazier has yet to be able to do since injuring his shoulder in Week Two against the San Francisco 49ers.
Should he miss his fourth consecutive game, the combination of Sean Spence and Vince Williams will fill in for Shazier. Spence will start but the duo played nearly even snaps last week.
