The Pittsburgh Steelers first injury report of Week 3 is now out and it includes four players on it.
Not practicing Wednesday were cornerback William Gay (not injury related), nose tackle Daniel McCullers (knee), and linebacker Ryan Shazier (shoulder).
McCullers injured his left knee this past Sunday when he was clipped by San Francisco 49ers tackle Eric Pears in the third quarter. On Tuesday, head coach Mike Tomlin indicated that the former sixth-round draft pick did have some selling in his knee that they would be monitoring.
As for Shazier, he is expected to be fine after suffering a stinger late in Sunday’s win over the 49ers. He registered 15 total tackles in the Steelers win.
Cornerback Cortez Allen (knee) practiced fully Wednesday and that’s encouraging news being as he was inactive this past Sunday.
The Steelers will play the St. Louis Rams on the road this coming Sunday.
