The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed center/guard Doug Legursky to their 53 man roster, officially sending Maurkice Pouncey to the injured reserve/designated to return list.
The move was first reported by Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Legursky was initially released during the roster cutdown. He is expected to be the top backup at center and guard. Pouncey will miss at least the first eight weeks and likely more as he recovers from his broken fibula suffered in the third preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.
He will wear his old number 64.
The team’s roster now sits at 53 healthy players.
