Season 6, Episode 15 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I start off by talking about Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant being suspended four-games on Thursday for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
In addition to looking specifically at where Bryant might be currently in the league’s intervention problem, we also look at who might be replacing him on the roster as well as on the field as we go through all of the fallout. We also speculate as to whether or not Bryant will only play four seasons in Pittsburgh before moving on elsewhere.
Time is running out for tackle Mike Adams to make it back by the start of the regular season and with center Maurkice Pouncey also out an extended amount of time, the Steelers will have a few interesting roster decisions upcoming. David and I take a look at a few of them.
So far the Steelers have only ruled out defensive end Stephon Tuitt for the Saturday night preseason game against the Buffalo Bills but David and I believe that list will grow right before kickoff. We also speculate about playing time for the starters in that game.
We discuss whether or not the league is playing too many preseason games right now in addition to looking at roster construction around the league as it relates to pedigree players.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
