Season 5, Season 5, Episode 131 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and with Alex Kozora still sitting in for David Todd, we open the show by talking the new contract that Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward signed Thursday night. The news isn’t shocking, but we still go over some of the early numbers associated with the deal.
Now that Heyward has been locked up, Alex and I both discuss the prospects of tackle Kelvin Beachum receiving a new deal during training camp. I worked up a projected deal for Beachum that I feel is fair for both sides and we discuss those numbers in addition to whether or not we both feel it will get done.
We also discuss a few other players who will need new deals next offseason and whether or not the Steelers can accommodate them all. This includes us speculating about the future status of wide receiver Antonio Brown now that Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas have both signed lucrative long-term contracts.
During the second half of the show, Alex and I discuss the players whose last names begins with the letter “G” as we continue our march through the 90-man roster ahead of training camp.
