On Instagram this afternoon, Pittsburgh Steelers’ outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo posted a photo of him weighing just under 254 pounds.
His weight is particularly notable given his transition from playing 3-4 DE in college to outside linebacker in the NFL. As the rookie points out, he weighed as much as 284 pounds at Miami. At the NFL Combine, Chickillo came in at 267 pounds. Shedding an additional 14 pounds is a good sign for the rookie and gives an idea of where coaches wanted him at.
He’ll be competing for a final linebacker spot on the 53 man roster alongside Howard Jones and Shawn Lemon.
