Season 5, Episode 124 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and with Alex Kozora still sitting in for David Todd, we open the show by recapping the latest Pittsburgh Steelers news that includes the recent passing of Joe Greene’s wife and the team announcing they will honor running back Jerome Bettis with a ring ceremony during the Week 4 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
After making sure to touch on where Terrelle Pryor ultimately landed, Alex and I discuss the latest news concerning New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who has now had his appeal heard. That leads to us talking about why Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell has yet to have his hearing and I have a feeling that might be because his representation has requested a longer timeframe.
Steelers Todd Haley was recently ranked as being one of the top-3 offensive coordinators currently in the league so Alex and I discuss that in addition to the entire set of rankings.
We go over a few comments made recently by defensive end Cameron Heyward about changes we could see this year on defense and speculate that we could see a system similar to the one Wade Phillips has run over the course of the last several years with various teams.
At the end of the show we have quite a lengthy chat about defensive end Matt Conrath as it relates to his chances of making the 53 man roster this year. we also discuss Ramon Foster after Alex broke down the sacks he allowed last season.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
