Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown led the league last season in both receptions and receiving yardage and now that’s he established himself as one of the top players currently in the game at his position, he’s more than deserving of the major media recognition he’s now receiving.
Monday morning it was announced on Twitter that Brown will be included this upcoming season in the opening of NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” broadcasts. The Steelers will play three prime-time games in 2015 on the “Peacock Network” with their first one coming on the opening Thursday night of the regular-season against the New England Patriots.
While Brown failed to win the Madden 16 cover fan voting this offseason, he was recognized as one of the four finalists for the annual honor, which some people still consider a curse.
Additionally, Brown’s already be featured in an ESPN offseason Sports Science segment that included him setting a World Record as he caught a football that was dropped by a drone from 360 feet in the air.
Over the course of the next three weeks, Brown is also expected to land somewhere in the Top 30 of the NFL Network Top-100 Players of 2015 list.
