According to the Pittsburgh Steelers official Twitter account, the team will have another player revealed Wednesday night during NFL Network’s weekly Top 100 Players episode.
Wednesday night’s segment will include players ranked 21st-30th on their list and being as it would be a travesty to see quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver Antonio Brown or running back Le’Veon Bell ranked outside of the Top-20 this year, there might be a chance that linebacker Lawrence Timmons winds up being the Steelers player featured.
Additionally, when you look at the picture that the Steelers posted on their Twitter account to announce the news, it includes Timmons. I doubt seriously that that was a mistake on their part.
As it stands so far, center Maurkice Pouncey has been the only Steelers player to be listed in the annual Top 100 players as he was ranked 83rd overall.
Timmons made the Pro Bowl last season for the first time in his career after registering 132 total tackles. He finished 8th overall in the league in that stat.
The episode is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. EST.
