For the second straight day, Pittsburgh Steelers’ linebackers James Harrison and Ryan Shazier did not participate in today’s practice, according to Mark Kaboly of The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
As Kaboly points out via yesterday’s gentle reminder from Steelers’ PR head Burt Lauten, these practices are voluntary. Harrison and Shazier participated in the first four practices. There could be perfectly legitimate reasons why they aren’t there and it’s tricky to rush to judgment.
Still, it’d be slightly more comforting knowing your second-year starting inside linebacker is at practice and working with his new defensive coordinator. Hopefully they are able to return for next week’s final round of OTAs.
