The Pittsburgh Steelers have now signed another one of their eight draft picks as second-round selection, cornerback Senquez Golson, has put his autograph on a four-year contract.
The Steelers have now signed four of their draft picks as L.T. Walton, Anthony Chickillo and Doran Grant all of signed their four-year slotted deals.
Golson started 33-of-49 games at Mississippi, recording 136 tackles (96 solos) with an assisted sack, six stops for losses of 15 yards and two quarterback pressures. He recorded 16 interceptions over the course of his college career with 10 of those coming last season.
A bit undersized at 5085, the Steelers believe that Golson can play both inside and outside at the NFL level.
Golson’s four-year contract should total out at around $3,791,150 and include a signing bonus in the neighborhood of $1,017,200.
