According to a tweet by ESPN reporter Field Yates, the Pittsburgh Steelers were one of eight teams to put in a waiver claim on former Houston Texans’ strong safety DJ Swearinger.

Of course, Swearinger was awarded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the first team in the waiver claim order.
Swearinger, known for his aggressive style, spent two years with the Texans before being released two days ago. He recorded 145 tackles and three interceptions in his NFL career.
