Though the new CBA makes rookie contracts nearly inflexible and easier to predict, the official overall contract details on Pittsburgh Steelers’ first round selection Bud Dupree are in.
According to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun, Dupree’s contract is worth $9.22 million. $8.632 million is guaranteed, including a $4.967 million signing bonus. Like every first rounder, Dupree’s contract is set for four years with a team fifth year option included.
The rookie will compete for playing time at left outside linebacker with Arthur Moats.
Third round pick Sammie Coates and seventh rounder Gerod Holliman are still the only two draft picks who have yet to sign. Expect those deals to be official soon.
