Season 5, Episode 99 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and with David Todd and Alex Kozora both unavailable on Friday, Chris Nicolaou makes his first appearance on the show after contributing several draft prospect breakdowns to the site over the course of the last few months.
Chris and I hit on all of the main headlines to open the show and that includes us talking about Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu deciding to retire after 12 seasons. We move on to discuss the visitors the Steelers had in on Thursday as well as a few players that Chris has already broken down.
In part two of this episode I am joined by Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Ed tells me about the early days of Polamalu in Pittsburgh and shares a few memories of his career. We also talk about how Polamalu was almost not a Steeler and if indeed there was a single moment or game when the safety went from good to great.
The league suspended Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell for three games on Thursday so I make sure to get Bouchette’s extended thoughts on that ruling in addition to whether or not his appeal will result in one less game. Ed and I also engage in some pre-draft discussion that I think you will find informative.
