As expected, the Pittsburgh Steelers do have more than just passing interest in Miami tight end Clive Walford ahead of the 2015 NFL Draft.
At his Wednesday Pro Day, Walford, who didn’t run the 40 because of a recently pulled hamstring, said he’s meeting with the Steelers brass later in the day.
#Hurricanes TE Clive Walford said he's meeting w/#Steelers' brass today and will meet with the #Dolphins and other teams before the draft.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert are both present for the Miami Pro Day and it wouldn’t be surprising to find out later that offensive coordinator Todd Haley is also in attendance.
While the Steelers will meet with Walford later in the day, it’s unclear if he will be brought to Pittsburgh for a pre draft visit.
Walford. who measured in at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine at 6’4″ and 251 pounds, is currently regarded as the second-best tight end in this year’s draft class. He can function as both an in-line blocker as well as a slot receiver and many feel that he will be drafted in somewhere in the second round or early in the third.
The 23 year-old Walford was named third-team AP All-American, second-team All-ACC and was a Mackey Award finalist in 2014 for his play.
