The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Kentucky outside linebacker Bud Dupree with the 22nd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft Thursday night in Chicago and during the post-selection press conference, head coach Mike Tomlin was asked if he will play on the strong-side of the defense.
“We’ll start him out on the left, but obviously he’s played on both sides of the football for them,” said Tomlin. “He’s played on the end of the line, he’s played in space. We’ll start him out at left outside linebacker.”
Tomlin was later asked if Dupree will be the starter right away and his response was ca predictable one.
“We’re not in that business,” said Tomlin. “He’ll be given an opportunity, obviously.”
