Four Steelers Make NFL Players Inc. Top 50 Player Sales Year-End List

On Monday, NFL Players Inc. released their Top 50 Player Sales List for the fiscal year 2015, based on total overall sales of all officially licensed products from March 1, 2014, through February 28, 2015 and included on it are four members of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is the highest ranked Steelers player this year on the sales list at No. 38 overall as he edged out recently retired safety Troy Polamalu by one spot.

Surprisingly, Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown ranked 42nd overall and only one spot ahead of his teammate, running back Le’Veon Bell. I say surprisingly as I figured that he would’ve have finished much higher than that.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson retained the No. 1 ranking for a second consecutive year and four of his teammates also made the annual list.

According to the recent release, NFL Players Inc. licensees generated retail sales exceeding $1.4 billion during the year and the list that is released quarterly is based on total overall sales of all officially licensed products from online and traditional retail outlets as reported by more than 80 NFLPI licensees.
