Season 5, Episode 91 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and David Todd and I start off this show by discussing several things that Pittsburgh Steelers team president Art Rooney II had to say to the media Friday before heading out to the NFL owner’s meetings that will take place next week. Rooney says that the team isn’t likely to be very active in signing free agents from this point forward so David and I have a look back at what has been accomplished so far and what ultimately happened to the two visitors that they had over the course of the last week.
We also discuss as few of the available free agent cornerbacks that remain unsigned and also talk about the prospects of veteran Ike Taylor returning for one more season.
The NFL competition committee announced several rule change propositions this past week, so David and I go over quite a few of them that are intriguing to the both us.
The Steelers were very visible this past week at a few of the Pro Days and David and I go over a few players they were likely looking at. We also talk more about who the Steelers will likely draft in the first two rounds of the draft in addition based on how things are starting to shape up.
While the other teams in the AFC North haven’t been overly active during the free agent signing period, we discuss a few of the recent signings made by the Cleveland Browns as well as the Baltimore Ravens deciding to part ways with running back Bernard Pierce following his DUI charge earlier in the week.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
