Welcome to Super Bowl weekend as Sunday the New England Patriots will play the Seattle Seahawks in Arizona in what figures to be a good game. Hopefully at about this same time next year we will be discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers trying to capture their seventh Lombardi Trophy.
Like every other Friday, I have five questions for you to answer as we head into the weekend. Most of them are of course Super Bowl related and I hope you take the time to answer them in the comments below.
Please be safe this weekend and if you must drink, please do not drive. Once again I’d also like to thank all of you who patronized the site this past week. We intend to continue to provide great content for you all throughout the offseason. While the 2014 season may come to end Sunday evening, we can assure you that football season never ends for us on this site.
1 – We don’t have long to wait until we find out whether or not the fifth time will be the charm for former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis, who is hoping to become a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend. With that out of the way, can you tell me one good reason why Bettis has failed to get in up until now? Yearly class competition? A career 3.9 yards per carry average?
2 – Who will win Super Bowl XLIX and what will the final score be?
3 – Who will be the MVP of the game?
4 – Which two teams who will be playing in Super Bowl L next year in San Francisco?
5 – The final question is a four-parter associated with Super Bowl prop bets:
a – Tom Brady over or under 260½ passing yards?
b – Russell Wilson over or under 219½ passing yards?
c – LeGarrette Blount over or under 62½ rushing yards?
d – Marshawn Lynch over or under 92½ rushing yards?
