Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday and it looks like there’s a good chance the black and gold will play in the annual preseason game a day after the induction takes place.
According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, sources are saying the Steelers will play in the Hall of Fame game on Aug. 9 in Canton, OH.
The Steelers last played in the Hall of Fame game in 2007. They beat the New Orleans Saints 20-7 in that game which was the first for Mike Tomlin as the team’s head coach.
