According to several reports, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is battling a stomach illness prior to the game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Roethlisberger didn’t take the field for pregame warm-ups and that left backup Bruce Gradkowski to take first-team reps with the offense 30 minutes before the game.
It sounds like Roethlisberger will still play as he he is likely getting fluids and treatment in the locker room prior to taking the field.
Several Bengals players battled the flu this week, so perhaps the bug has made it to Pittsburgh.
As usual, the Steelers chose not to dress Landry Jones. If they thought Roethlisberger might be sick enough to miss the game Jones likely would’ve dressed for the first time in his career.
.@steelers QB @_BigBen7 has a minor stomach virus but will play tonight vs. the #Bengals.
