The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the New Orleans Saints Sunday at Heinz Field and below is a best guess as to what the inactive list will look like this week. The official list of inactives will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
Steve McLendon – McLendon will miss the game against the Saints as he continues to be bothered by the shoulder injury that has already forced him to miss several games this season. With McLendon out, rookie Daniel McCullers will dress once again and he could make his second career start.
Cortez Allen – Allen broke his thumb prior to the game against the Tennessee Titans and surgery ultimately followed. With his hand casted, Allen was not able to show enough during the week and was thus ruled out on Friday. Allen’s season has been beyond disappointing to say the least.
Landry Jones – Jones remains a permanent fixture on the Steelers inactive list and will not dress for the Saints game.
Marcus Gilbert – Gilbert was injured an ankle during a practice earlier in the week and it looks like he will be held out on Sunday. With Gilbert expected to sit against the Saints, Mike Adams is expected to make his second start of the season at right tackle.
Ryan Shazier – It sure doesn’t sound like Shazier will return this week from the ankle injury that has had him sidelined for several weeks. Shazier ended the week listed as questionable and was even limited in one practice this past week.
Justin Brown – Brown has been inactive for the last several games and there’s no reason to expect that to change Sunday against the Saints as they just don’t need six wide receivers in uniform.
B.W. Webb – With Ike Taylor and Shamarko Thomas back this week, Webb figures to be the odd man out this week.
