The Pittsburgh Steelers have already filled the open spot on their roster following the Tuesday release of running back LeGarrette Blount as rookie running back Josh Harris has been promoted from the practice squad.

Harris, who signed with the Steelers as an undrafted rookie free agent on July 29, 2014, played in 43-of-49 games for Wake Forest where he led the team in rushing with 489 carries for 2,230 yards with 19 rushing touchdown. He also registered an additional 304 receiving yards on 47 career receptions.
During the preseason, Harris rushed eight times for 41 yards in limited playing time. He also caught three passes for 12 yards.
