The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Indianapolis Colts Sunday at Heinz Field and below is a best guess as to what the inactive list will look like this week. The official list of inactives will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
Ike Taylor – Taylor will miss his fifth straight game Sunday as he continues to recover from the broken forearm that suffered back in Week 3. The good news with Taylor is that he is back practicing again on a limited basis. There is, however, still no timetable for his return.
Steve McLendon – The Steelers starting nose tackle was ruled out for the Colts game on Friday after failing to practice all week. This will be the second straight game that McLendon has missed and Cam Thomas is expected to start at nose tackle in his place once again. rookie Daniel McCullers will once again be active with McLendon down and should see roughly 10 or snaps on defense.
Shamarko Thomas – Thomas was ruled out Friday on the injury report and this will mark the third straight game that he has missed because of a hamstring injury suffered back in Week 5. Thomas was limited all week in practice.
Marcus Gilbert – Gilbert was listed as doubtful on the Friday injury report after failing to bounce back quickly enough from the concussion that he suffered Monday night. With Gilbert likely to be out, Mike Adams is expected to make his first start of the season Sunday against the Colts at right tackle. Gilbert being down should also result in guard Chris Hubbard dressing for just the third time this season.
Landry Jones – Jones remains a permanent fixture on the Steelers inactive list and should not dress Sunday.
Justin Brown – With it looking like rookie Martavis Bryant will dress once again, Brown will likely be the odd wide receiver out for a second straight week.
B.W. Webb – Once again the last spot on the inactive list is tough to guess. However, being as many think rookie linebacker Ryan Shazier will finally return this week after being listed as probable on the Friday injury report, it would leave you to believe that Webb will be the odd man out this week.
