The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Cleveland Browns Sunday afternoon at FirstEnergy Stadium and below is a best guess as to what the inactive list will look like this week. The official list of inactives will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
Ike Taylor – Taylor will miss his third straight game Sunday against the Browns as the veteran continues to recover from the broken forearm that suffered back in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers. He isn’t likely to be ready to play for several more weeks and there’s a good chance that he might not return until after the bye week.
Ryan Shazier – Shazier did manage to practice on a limited basis this past week, but he’s reportedly still not close to being 100%. He was ruled out Friday on the injury report and the hope is that he’ll be ready to practice fully starting next Wednesday.
Shamarko Thomas – Thomas, who injured his left hamstring last Sunday, was unable to practice this past week. He was ruled out Friday on the injury report and the team isn’t likely to rush him back.
Landry Jones – Jones remains a permanent fixture on the Steelers inactive list.
Wesley Johnson – If the Steelers do decide to dress an extra offensive lineman Sunday against the Browns it won’t be Johnson, who has yet to dress for a game so far this season.
Chris Hubbard – With Ramon Foster now back healthy, Hubbard, as expected, has found himself back on the inactive list.
Daniel McCullers – With Thomas now out this week the Steelers will have to decide whether or not to give his helmet to McCullers or rookie wide receiver Martavis Bryant. Being as Bryant can function as an emergency gunner and easily get a few snaps inside the red zone, it’s hard to imagine him not dressing against the Browns.
