Injury Report

Jaguars Rookie WR Marqise Lee Ruled Out For Sunday Game Against Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers will face a winless Jacksonville Jaguars team Sunday that will be without two of their offensive weapons at the wide receiver position.

According to John Oehser of jaguars.com, rookie wide receiver Marqise Lee has been ruled out for the game Sunday with a hamstring injury that he has been battling now for a few weeks.

In addition to being without Lee, the Jaguars are also expected to be without the services of starting wide receiver Cecil Short, who injured his left hamstring in the third quarter of the Sunday loss to the San Diego Chargers.

With both Lee and Short both out, rookie quarterback Blake Bortles, who will be making his second-career start Sunday at home against the Steelers, will have rookie wide receivers Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns as his two primary pass catchers.

Allen was drafted in the second round by the Jaguars back in May out of Penn State while Hurns was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Miami. The two have combined to catch 29 balls for 446 yards and three touchdowns in the Jaguars first four games of the season.

The Jaguars might get wide receiver and return man Ace Sanders back this week now that he is served his four game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

We will have the Jaguars complete injury report for Wednesday later on in the day.
