The Pittsburgh Steelers appear to be a fairly healthy team overall as they enter their first game of the 2014 season Sunday against the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field.
During his Tuesday press conference, head coach Mike Tomlin said that most of the players that missed the preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers with injuries practiced Monday in some capacity. Those players listed by Tomlin were linebacker Sean Spence (knee), long snapper Greg Warren (knee), tight end Matt Spaeth (undisclosed), wide receiver Lance Moore (leg) and cornerback Brice McCain (groin).
Tomlin did say, however, that rookie wide receiver Martavis Bryant (shoulder) did not participate during the Monday practice and that while he currently isn’t sure about his status for the game on Sunday, they’ll leave the light on for him and others just the same.
The Steelers will release their first injury participation report at the conclusion of Wednesday’s practice.
