The Pittsburgh Steelers are about to begin their Monday practice and we’re starting to get early word as to who is and isn’t going to practice.
Alex Kozora reports that linebacker Ryan Shazier (knee) will miss his first training camp practice Monday as he still has a wrap on his right leg after suffering what appeared to be a right knee injury late in Sunday’s practice.
Head coach Mike Tomlin called Shazier’s injury a “boo boo” after Sunday’s session, so with the team being off on Tuesday, there’s probably a good chance that the first round draft pick will return to practice Wednesday.
Also not practiced Monday is linebacker Jarvis Jones (unknown). It looks like two rookie draft picks will get in some participation level of practice in on Monday as linebacker Jordan Zumwalt (groin) and tight end Rob Blanchflower (ankle) are both in pads.
Nose tackle Steve McLendon (unknown) looks like he will miss a third consecutive practice as well while cornerback Ike Taylor looks like he his getting a maintenance day.
