As expected, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a roster move this week as injured offensive lineman David Snow has been waived injured. The team filled the open roster spot by signing running back Josh Harris.
Snow suffered a a fractured foot during Saturday’s practice and the injury will require surgery. After clearing waivers, Snow should revert back to the Steelers injured reserve list.
Harris played his college football at Wake Forest, and went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. He attended mini camp with the Dallas Cowboys on a tryout basis, but failed to get signed. At his Pro Day, Harris measured in at 5’9/7 and weighed 206 pounds. He finished his college career with over 2200 yards and 19 touchdowns.
The Steelers currently have shorter lines at the running back position as Alvester Alexander started off training camp on the PUP list while Le’Veon Bell is currently sidelined with a minor hamstring injury.
