Monday will mark the first training camp padded practice for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it doesn’t look like running back Le’Veon Bell will be taking part in it.
Bell, who left the field early Sunday because of tightness in his hamstring, told the media Monday morning that he will be sitting out practice later in the day.
Bell revealed Monday that his hamstring has been bothering the last few days and that it just got too much to take on Sunday. He’s also disappointed that he will miss the backs on backers drill.
The Steelers will have Tuesday off, so perhaps Bell can make it back for Wednesday’s practice. It’s better for the team to err on the side of caution right now as hamstring injuries certain can linger if not handled correctly.
