The second training camp practice for the Pittsburgh Steelers is now in the books after it was cut short by inclement weather. Unfortunately, the injury list did not shorten on Sunday as a few more names were added to it.
According to head coach Mike Tomlin, rookie wide receiver Martavis Bryant (groin) was held out of practice Sunday with a groin injury. Running back Le’Veon Bell (hamstring) was forced to leave practice early with hamstring tightness, while rookie wide receiver C.J. Goodwin (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury after landing hard on it while trying to make a catch.
According to Tomlin, all three players will be further evaluated and there’s a chance that all three will be able to practice on Monday.
Tomlin did deliver some bad news, however, as backup center David Snow (foot) has been diagnosed with a fractured foot that will ultimately require surgery. Snow suffered the injury midway through Saturday’s practice.
Safety Mike Mitchell (groin) and running back Alvester Alexander (groin) remain on the PUP list.
