Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin no longer has to worry about the HBO cameras hovering around training camp this year as the Atlanta Falcons have been chosen to be the subject matter of “Hard Knocks” in 2014.
Thanks to back-to-back 8-8 seasons and them failing to make the playoffs for two consecutive seasons, the Steelers could have been saddled with the chore of being part of the long-running NFL documentary, but subtle indications all offseason pointed to them not being selected.
On Wednesday, however, team president Art Rooney II did indicate that it’s only a matter of team before the Steelers will have the cameras following them around at Latrobe.
The 2014 series of Hard Knocks is set to debut on Aug. 5.
