The Pittsburgh Steelers now have five of their nine draft picks under contract before June 1.
On Thursday, cornerback Shaquille Richardson, the Steelers first of two fifth-round picks, signed a four-year contract.
Richardson, an Arizona product, should get roughly $2.41 million over four-years and that includes a signing bonus somewhere in the neighborhood of $190,000.
With Richardson now under contract, the Steelers can now focus on getting their top four draft picks signed. A few of those signings will likely take place next week.
