The Pittsburgh Steelers will never hesitate to juggle their 90 man roster over the course of the offseason and it’s not uncommon to hear reports of them bringing in undrafted free agents in for workouts.
According to a Friday report by Bo Marchionte of College2Pro.com, former Duquesne wide receiver Gianni Carter recently worked out for the Steelers.
Carter, who measures in at 6-foot-2 and weighs 212 pounds, led Duquesne in catches (51), receiving yards (737) and touchdown receptions (6) in 2013.
Back in November, Carter was named the Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his five catch, 111 yard performance in Duquesne’s 24-21 NEC title-clinching win over CCSU.
The Steelers could be looking to replace wide receiver Jasper Collins on the roster after he missed practice time during the Steelers first week of OTAs with an undisclosed injury.
