The Notre Dame Pro Day is taking place on Thursday and the Pittsburgh Steelers have a large contingent there watching and even participating in the day’s events.
Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports reports that he’s spotted general manager Kevin Colbert, head coach Mike Tomlin and new defensive assistant Joey Porter in attendance Thursday to talk to and observe top-rated Irish draft hopefuls nose tackle Louis Nix III, defensive end Stephon Tuitt, tight end Troy Niklas and linebacker Prince Shembo.
At one point during the day’s events, Tomlin was asked to line up at center against Nix, who reportedly weighed in at 331 pounds, during drills.
Tuitt, however, is not taking part in any drills, as he is reportedly wearing a walking boot after recently undergoing a procedure to fix a stress fracture in his left foot.
