So you’re telling me there’s a chance? Yeah!
Pittsburgh Steelers unrestricted free agent wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery has wrapped up his Tuesday visit with the Carolina Panthers and has left Charlotte unsigned, according to Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer.
Person goes on to say that the veteran receiver is deciding between the Steelers and the Panthers, so there seems to be a chance he returns to Pittsburgh in 2014.
Cotchery had dinner Monday night with Panthers head coach Ron Rivera and offensive coordinator Mike Shula. His visit carried over into Tuesday, but no deal was struck. Person reports that a source told him that a decision could come as soon as tonight or tomorrow from Cotchery.
Cotchery, who led the Steelers in touchdowns last season with 10, would be a welcomed sight in Carolina as the team is currently void of any experienced wide receivers on their roster thanks to losses so far in free agency.
In non-Cam news, WR Jerricho Cotchery wrapped up visit w/ Panthers. Left w/out a contract, per source. Deciding between CAR and #Steelers.
