According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Pittsburgh Steelers will sign Buffalo Bills free agent linebacker Arthur Moats to a one-year deal.
Moats, who was scheduled to be in Pittsburgh on Monday for a visit, started 12 games for the Bills last season and recorded 54 total tackles.
The James Madison product should have position flexibility as he has played both inside and outside during his career. His natural position is outside, however, and the Steelers really need depth there now that LaMarr Woodley has been sent packing.
In total, Moats played 301 snaps on defense for the Bills in 2013. In addition to his play on defense, Moats should be a core special teams player for the Steelers if he makes the final 53 man roster.
In December 2013, Moats was named the Bills’ Walter Payton Man of the Year for 2013.
