Free agent running back Maurice Jones-Drew is going home.
According to multiple reports, the longtime Jacksonville Jaguars running back will sign a three-year deal with the Oakland Raiders on Friday.
Jones-Drew, who played his college football at UCLA, was born in Oakland and his addition to the Raiders will help provide depth behind the oft-injured Darren McFadden.
Jones-Drew visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers at the end of last week. While they reportedly still had interest in him after he left town, his asking price was more than likely too high as he was rumored seeking around $3 million a season.
With Jones-Drew now off the market, the Steelers will turn their attention to New England Patriots free agent running back LeGarrette Blount, who is scheduled to meet with the team today.
