The Pittsburgh Steelers have submitted their Thursday injury report now that practice is over and it shows that three key players failed to practice.
Not practicing for a second straight day were guard Ramon Foster (ankle), defensive end Brett Keisel (foot) and linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf). Friday will be a big day for all three, but it certainly isn’t looking good for Foster and Woodley right now. As for Keisel, head coach Mike Tomlin seemed confident during his Tuesday press conference that the bearded one would play Sunday despite suffering from plantar fasciitis.
Should Foster have to sit, Guy Whimper is preparing to start at left guard in his place.
As for the rest of the injury report, center Fernando Velasco (knee), tackle Kelvin Beachum (hip), guard David DeCastro (ankle), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and tight end Heath Miller (not injury related) and tackle Mike Adams (ribs) all practiced fully on Thursday.
Safety Shamarko Thomas (ankle) has long been ruled out for the game against the Detroit Lions because of a high ankle sprain suffered this past week.
