Following the Pittsburgh Steelers 37-27 win Sunday over the Detroit Lions at Heinz Field, head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the injury situation during his post game press conference.
“On the injury front, Emmanuel Sanders (foot) hurt his right foot in the game and is being evaluated. We’ll see where that goes,” said Tomlin. “[Stevenson] Sylvester (hamstring) has got a right hamstring. We’ll see where that goes and the rest of it was normal bumps and bruises associated with playing.”
Sanders was lost for the game in the second quarter and that meant more snaps for rookie Markus Wheaton. Wheaton finished the game with three catches for 38 yards in the win.
The Steelers were also without the services Sunday of linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf), defensive end Brett Keisel (foot) and guard Ramon Foster (ankle) as all three were inactive with injuries suffered last week.
