One Baltimore Ravens player that the Pittsburgh Steelers defense won’t have to worry about covering Thursday night is tight end Dennis Pitta as he wasn’t activated from the designated to return list by the 4 p.m. ET Thursday deadline.
Pitta, who suffered a hip injury in training camp, was placed on the injured reserve list with the designated to return tag by the Ravens at the start of the season.
The Ravens have certainly missed their pass catching tight end this season as Pitta caught 61 passes for 669 yards and 7 touchdowns last season.
So far this season, the Ravens two primary tight ends, Ed Dickson and Dallas Clark, have combined to catch 45 passes for 530 yards and three touchdowns.
