Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media Tuesday for his regularly scheduled press conference and here is the injury update he provided.
Tomlin said tight end Heath Miller (knee) worked in a partial capacity last week and they expect him to work fully this week. They will then see where that participation takes them. That being said, they are not expecting Miller to step out of a phone booth with a cape on.
Cornerback Curtis Brown (illness) will be back this week per Tomlin after missing the Monday night game with an illness.
Rookie running back Le’Veon Bell (foot) is going to ramp up his activity this week, according to Tomlin. They are expecting individual work out of him this week.
As far as injuries coming out of the Monday night game, linebacker Jarvis Jones (heel) has a heel contusion, defensive end Brett Keisel (calf) has a left calf strain and nose tackle Steve McLendon (hamstring) has a hamstring strain, although minor. All three of those players might be limited in practice this week as a result.
As far as cornerback Cortez Allen (ankle) goes, Tomlin says he has yet to be evaluated this week and there was no real update given on him.
The Steelers will take on the Chicago Bears Sunday night at Heinz Field and the first full injury report of the week will be released on Wednesday after practice.
