According to a source, former Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebacker Marshall McFadden will be added to the practice squad of the Oakland Raiders.
McFadden, who was a member of the Steelers practice squad last season, looked to be a lock to make the Steelers 53 man roster this year following the release of Stevenson Sylvester.
Instead, the South Carolina State product, who went undrafted in 2011, was waived during the final round of cuts on Saturday as the team decided to keep rookie linebacker Vince Williams and special teams ace Kion Wilson instead.
McFadden led the Steelers in total tackles last preseason with 15 and matched that number this past preseason as he played exclusively with the second-team defense.
The Steelers decided to keep only four inside linebackers on their 2013 53 man roster initially, but they did sign undrafted free agent linebacker Terence Garvin to their eight man practice squad on Sunday.
