Pittsburgh Steelers guard Justin Cheadle was carted off the field Monday during practice with a knee or leg injury of some sorts and he is not practicing on Wednesday, according to Dale Lolley of the Washington Observer.
Lolley does report that Cheadle is on the field, however, so that is positive sign.
Cheadle played Saturday night in the first preseason game at both right guard and center. In total, he played 35 snaps, but did allow a pressure and a sack late in the game.
On Wednesday, Cheadle wasn\’t listed on the latest depth chart, so either he was an accidental omission or his injury is expected to sideline him for a while.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin might be asked about Cheadle during his post practice talk with the media and we will pass along any news about the stays of the young guard if any is given.
