Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports was at Pittsburgh Steelers training camp on Wednesday and while there he sat down for an interview with 93.7 The Fan, during which he talked about how the relationship between quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and offensive coordinator Todd Haley is totally different than it was last year.
La Canfora said, “I was talking to somebody else in the organization, and they\’re like, \’We’re walking through the dorm like two weeks ago, and Haley’s door\’s open, and I peak my head in, and it’s Ben and Haley having a beer watching Shark Week.\’ Like last year they didn’t make eye contact. … So as I was talking to people before I got here and I was like, \’What\’s going on?\’ And they’re like, \’Haley and Ben are bros, man, it\’s like there’s been a complete 180 in their relationship.\’ ”
Well, there you go, it seems as though Roethlisberger has indeed called Haley at this junction. Beers and Shark Week while going over the revised Rosetta Stone playbook? If the Steelers offensive line stays healthy this season, I think there might just be a few defenses on the Steelers schedule that might just need a bigger boat.
