The Pittsburgh Steelers had their first training camp practice interrupted on Saturday thanks to a severe thunderstorm moving through the Latrobe area, but now it appears as if they will now resume as the players are reportedly back on the field stretching after a 30 minute delay.
The media reported via Twitter that the sirens went off as lighting was in the area and it forced the team indoors as a result.
The grounds crew was forced to cover the field to protect it from the rain.
Last year, the team had to move operations back to their indoor facility on the Southside a few times because of inclement weather, so hopefully that doesn\’t happen again this year as the fans miss out when that happens.
