Pittsburgh Steelers unrestricted free agent safety Ryan Mundy has a visit scheduled with the New York Giants, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News on Twitter.
Mundy played nearly 300 snaps on defense for the Steelers last season at both the strong and free safety positions due to starter Troy Polamalu being sidelined by a calf injury for the first half of the season.
Mundy did not have a good showing as a starter in the Steelers first three games and he was eventually benched in favor of veteran safety Will Allen. Mundy did, however, dress for every game and played on special teams.
The Woodland Hills graduate recorded 39 career tackles last season and 2 defensed passes. He also allowed 3 receiving touchdowns in the Steelers first four games.
