It has been a while since I posted the offensive and defensive directional stats for the Pittsburgh Steelers, so here is a look at both the rushing and passing stats by direction through week 13 of the season.
These stats include rankings in the league for both plays and average gained or allowed.
A few observations:
It is not surprising that the offense is still pretty much right handed as it relates to the run. Once David DeCastro is inserted into the lineup the offense should be able to run the counter the other way to help even this out a little. That might be next season, though.
The passing offense is currently first in the league in the short middle of the field with a 8.92 average.
The pass defense is ranked first in average allowed in the short left and deep middle areas of the field and second in the short middle area.
