Steelers Offensive & Defensive Snap Counts: Week 12 Browns

Below are the initial week 12 offensive and defensive snap counts from the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-14 loss to the Cleveland Browns Sunday.

Thanks to his two fumbles in the game Rashard Mendenhall only played 8 snaps in total, so basically you can say that he was benched. Isaac Redman saw only 5 snaps in the game and the same goes for him. Head coach Mike Tomlin obviously wanted to prove a point. Did he?

Wide receiver Plaxico Burress only played 11 snaps and that is not too surprising considering how long he has been with the team. At least he was able to draw a pass interference penalty in the end zone that ultimately resulted in the only offensive touchdown in the game. David Gilreath saw extended playing time with his 21 snaps, but didn\’t register a catch. The offense used two or more tight ends on 21 plays.

On defense, Jason Worilds saw snaps because of the ankle injury suffered by LaMarr Woodley, who played only 10 snaps before being shut down for the day. Curtis Brown saw the field 3 times in the dime defense and Larry Foote came off of the field on those plays.

We will have the participation reports out later on in the week.
